Maybe it would have been better for Lynch to keep his mouth shut

He brings all this attention to himself with his oddball interviews. Then, finally speaks (if you want to call it that) by unloading on the media and giving shout outs to his team, Oakland, and all real Africans. I didn't have a dog in this fight, but I can't pull for a team with this cat on it. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

Lynch Blasts Media

They wouldn't let him evade these silly interviews, so he is trying to make them regret it. And he is proving that the media really will reprint and repeat literally anything he says, no matter how worthless. I am pretty tired of the same old media crap being regurgitated for decades...every interview is the same and so is every sportscaster. It is really about time for some fresh material and i thank Marshawn for that at least.

CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATION. If he doesn't like it, quit.

Next time your boss has a meeting, tell him you refuse to join. See how that works for you.

Making the kind money he makes, the man has to be stupid to go out and conduct himself in such a manner.

Who knows what these guys would be doing if they weren't playing professional football.
IMO, Lynch has a professional obligation to honor the shield and the league and fans who have provided him with the privilege and honor to make the kind of living he does. Humility and gratitude is in order here for what he has been given. Part of meeting that responsibility is answering questions from the media who are covering the sport. If it weren't for the media and the millions of dollars they pay to cover the sport and broadcast the games, he wouldn't have the opportunity to make the money he does.

The media also keeps the fans and the public informed about what's going on with the players, the coaches, the teams, and the league. So, he should humbly and gratefully do anything they ask him to do. Most of the media tries to cover the sport in a fair, entertaining, informative, and unbiased way. Yes...you get some that go off the reservation sometimes to get a "scoop" and do a sensational story...but the majority of them are just doing their jobs. Lynch is a first class jerk. It appears that several on the Seahawks can't keep their mouths shut like Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Doug Baldwin.

I am not a fan of either team...but combine the way the Seahawks "behave" with the fact that the majority of Deflate-gate is a joke and the Patriots appear to be getting persecuted unfairly...and I think the majority of the country has been polarized to pull for the Patriots. Count me in that group.

BTW, why is not more being talked about the fact that the Seahawks have been fined over $300K for PED use?
Certainly, that is a greater form of cheating than a bunch of balls that have a little less air in them. Just saying.

So an athlete, who is a paid entertainer, is angry and childlike in his response to talk to the media-who provide us, the PAYING audience, with some tidbits of info. This makes Marshawn a complete arrogant fool. Now Mother Bad Karma will visit his sorry ass in the form of a career ending injury. Then, his foolish self, will be talking a plenty to anyone that will listen to his over-hyped, broke, and lonely situation. Hey Marshawn-go back to college and get a degree and some class.

He's being paid millions of dollars to play a game. Some folks want to act like he's a huge victim because he's obligated to talk to the media for a few minutes about the game that he makes millions of dollars playing.

And meanwhile Marcus never got a shot to play in the NFL. That's what burns me up anytime I see these antics. I'm sure Marcus is over this even more than I or a lot of you are but I can't help but wonder why a-holes like Manziel and Lynch and a list of others get to play and the great guy gets injured beyond repair.

I'm not a Patriots or Seahawks fan, but Marshawn Lynch looks and sounds like Snoop Dog on steroids. The crotch-grabbing and the profanity every other word disgusts me, but his inability to understand and appreciate the fact that he's just a rich, wannabe gangsta with a particular talent does lead me to question his mental state. I don't ever wish a player serious injury, but I would love to see this jerk on the ground with snot-bubbles in his nose at least one time before the half.

Not that I would take the sameosition on speaking to the media if I was him, but I would at least have more fun with it.

I would give general comments (not criticizing mind you) on deflategate, NFL investigations on the commissioner, discussions on team relocations, etc. make comments about the things the NFL would rather have off the front page. Again, not implicating any individual, but general comments. Even make them somewhat tongue in cheek.

That would really piss them off.

The man is entitled to his opinion. He should just say what he thinks. Than maybe the Seahawks will want to change his contract to say, "Under no circumstances is he ever to talk to the media." lol. They hired him because he is good at football, not because he is some kind of spokesperson. The fact that the make these guys do this stuff when they clearly don't want to is a joke.

Yeah, the Seahawks don't want him to quit. They'll take that out of his contract first.
