Whatever your opinion of Muk after his sudden departure from the team, he's still a Gamecock in my eyes, and I was recently reading up on what my Dallas Cowboys looked like in offseason workouts, and found this writeup on Mukuamu's performance so far:
  • Mukuamu is a player that I've highlighted on my roster. He can move! The former college cornerback operates as a field general in single-high safety looks. His footwork is the catalyst for him being in position to make plays. He competes for passes and uses good angles to close. His cornerback resume is what helps him track and flip in the open field. The sixth-rounder shouldn't be a long shot to make the roster.
Obviously nothing will be finalized until training camps open in the fall, but based on early returns, it looks like despite being picked in the 6th round that Muk should end up making the Cowboys' roster this year. I'll definitely be pulling for him if he ends up playing on Sundays. Once a Gamecock, always a Gamecock in my book.
