SO MANY left handed batters? Connor Bright and one or two others bat right handed. Seems we played right into their hands? I don't follow baseball as closely since I'm 120 miles away, but are there no right handed batters we can put in the lineup vs. lefty's? We'll certainly face some really good lefty's in SEC play....

Agree we could use some right handed pop in the lineup.

wondered the same thing last nite, and if the tater pitcher today is a lefty the same thing.

yeah i wondered that too.... would be ideal to have about the same amount of righties and lefties....with that said i know it makes a difference on who youre batting against....i batted rightie and there were some righties i loved to hit against....for me it was the arm angle....pitchers that came from over the top more were easier for me to hit, but pitchers that came from the side more were harder for me to pick up

Pitching has been the real problem. We have right handed batters, it's just that they aren't our best hitters. Caldwell is pretty good, Gore is a switch hitter and he is pretty good. Mooney isn't bad when he actually plays. It's not just Bright. The fact of the matter is a couple of lefties struggled last night, Destino and Arendas, so people are inclined to blame it on "we have too many lefties and not enough righties." You are not going to take one of your best hitters out because he bats left-handed and Arendas is the starting 3rd baseman. I don't know what move you want to make there. Who do you want to play at third? Caldwell? Arendas has much better defense. I don't think offense has been this team's problem since the first game of the season. The problem is teams have been raking against us this year despite what was a supposed to be a top-notch pitching staff and defensive unit. We need to fix that. I think This is where Meyer and Holbrook earn their pay check. I think they'll get it fixed, I just hope it doesn't take too long.
