National championship?

I don’t understand the thought process of not having a season because of 2 conferences opting out this fall. There could still be a championship game (or play off) that will crown a champ.

Also, anyone that thinks that this is the solid motivating factor to not having a season is... well just not a true fan of the game.

Players play every season knowing that their team is not ranked in the top 20. But they play because they love the game and there is a chance until there isn’t. They keep on playing though. Many in hopes of that shot in the NFL.

So; while all want to win a championship, it’s more about playing the game they love and a shot at the next level.

Oh no sir. I'd hate to see them win it but not enough to miss college football for. And who knows, maybe we'll turn out to be pretty good ourselves.

As the covid wrecks all the other teams season we will have the ultimate weapon. The chicken curse. It will not allow another curse on our program therefore work against itself and we stay healthy. We go on to beat everyone's walk-ons and 3rd string guys. SC wins its first championship in the disastrous year of covid....
