Can we possibly make it into the tournament now? I thought no until after today's win. If we take two from LSU would that be enough?

I say ofcourse 2 of 3 from LSU. But don't go 0 -for in the SEC tourney.

We must beat USC upstate wed, then win series vs LSU. That would give us 3 series wins vs top 10 teams and drive our RPI to around 40. Win 1 or 2 in the sec tourney should get us one of the last at large bids. Our reputation should help out as well, and the late surge of quality wins would be fresh on committee's mind. Gotta win though, must keep scoring runs like at aTm to cover of the bullpen inability to shut down teams. If the bats go cold we won't have a chance .

Yeah, it sucks to be in this position... But, at least we have a shot, and our young players are showing some promise for next year! We have some good talent coming in, so there is hope for a turnaround... If we can keep HALF OUR ROSTER from hitting below .200 like they have been most of the year, we might be able to be a pretty good team next season! It just seemed like half the team was in a slump... That lasted the entire SEC schedule! How does that happen? I have no clue... But Mooney sure broke out of his slump this weekend! Goodness! It would be nice if he could be a great contributor at the plate for us from now on. He is an upper classman and SO valuable to have in the field, if he hit even in the .260 range normally, he would be so much more of an asset!

Scolamaro has been hitting much better lately, so has Destino... Seems to be back almost to his early season form! Those guys are all back next year. Losing Martin and Caldwell from the lineup is going to hurt so bad... We will need a combination of guys stepping up to offset some of their production.

Most analysts believe we need to win 15 SEC games to get in. I suppose that includes any combination of the LSU series and the SEC tourney.
Conference record stops being tallied at the end of the regular season.

Wins in Hoover would not count toward our SEC record, although any wins in Hoover, which historically has not been our friend, would help our case.

After this weekend, I'm not counting us out just yet. :)

I, for one, am going to enjoy this coming weekend at Carolina Stadium, that is certain.

I'm talking about the SEC tournament, we need to win 1 game to get in the double elimnation bracket....

If we lose that, then I believe that's it with the NCAA regardless what happens this Thursday - Saturday...

I like our chances with Jack and maybe the Big wins (2 out of 3) on the road at TAM will jump start up... Should have swept TAM!!!!

We usually don't play well in Hoover because we usually don't have to. I believe we will play better feeling our backs are against the wall. Some teams respond well in these situations and some don't. The light has seemed to come on with some of our young players. If there was ever a time to catch fire I suppose this is the perfect time. I remember Oregon St a few years back was the last team to make the field and ended up winning the CWS. Any team can catch fire this time of year and make a run. Of course we will have to pitch better this week.

If we win the LSU series and have a good showing in the SEC we will have an argument, but it won't guarantee that we will get in. Many are saying less SEC teams than usual will get in this year and I think our extreme inconsistency will work against us. All those losses in the midweek games that people said didn't matter beause they are just midweek games. Well, they will matter this year.

Aaron Fitt from D1 baseball said after we beat A&M if we win the series against LSU then we would be in. He said there is no way a team with series wins against there teams ranked in the top 5 when we played them could be left out.

Well, things have been so cock-eyed this year (pun intended), maybe Hoover will be a pleasant surprise.
