Never thought I'd say this...but I am happy for Tom Brady and The Patriots.

I'm not a fan of either one of these teams. When the Giants beat the Patriots to keep them from having a perfect season, I celebrated the Giants win.

But the leap to judgment over some air in footballs challenging the success and integrity of an organization who year in and year out has shown greatness on the football field was just too way too much.

Chris Carter and Keyshawn Johnson this morning went way over the top. Keyshawn Johnson talked about how good they are on the field but before anything has been proved that they did wrong, said the Patriots are hurting the integrity of the game.

Think the HOF induction has gone to Chris Carter's head. He use to be likable. He has become an arrogant judgmental know it all on ESPN. And today, he stated something to the nature that as a receiver who has caught over 1000 footballs in the National Football League, Tom Brady is lying.

Mike Ditka seemed to have the right perspective and the right respect for what those men and that organization have accomplished. Trent Dilfer IMO had the right opinion about it all. He said a lot in tribute to the Patriots success, and that much is being made about nothing with Deflate Gate. He said he was shocked and surprised at the harsh criticism by some of his fellow colleagues on the air and felt it was out of place. I agree.

So for two reasons I am happy that the Patriots won.
First, that Tom Brady and Bill Bellicek rose above and won in spite of some unfair challenges to their character. Brady played with "good balls" tonight and brought his team from 10 points down in the 4th quarter...completing 37 of 50 passes for 328 yards and 4 TD's. So much for the talk about air and footballs.

And second, the Seahawks and Richard Sherman and jerk Marshon Lynch and all their big mouths got shut up.
Sweet.

Tent Dilfer just put Chris Carter in his place on the post game set at 12:15pm.

Saying whether the ball has a little bit of air less in the balls has nothing to do with the Patriots success.
He added Tom Brady put that to rest with a record number of completions in a Super Bowl tonight...threw accurately and on the money all night long especially in the 4th quarter all with "balls with the right amount of air in them" and that his receivers and running backs didn't drop passes or fumble any with the "good balls" used tonight.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I will say this; comparing potentially underinflated balls thrown to cold hands, in cold NE, to any ball thrown to warm hands in AZ is silly and anyone who tries to do so is an idiot.
