I've skied those same slopes in North Carolina with temps in the single digits, only difference is they don't have to wait in a lift line for 45 minutes to ski a five minute run!

5 minute run? Beginner are ya? I wish there were 5 minute runs in n.c.

Yeah but when you're going 65 MPH over a jump, you don't want a gust of wind to hit you. That's the issue out there.

Most of the snow is man-made and/or "enhanced" to make it icier.

Exactly, skiers of Olympic level could go top to bottom at NC slopes in less than a minute.
Try about 25 seconds.

Of course, they'd never actually make it to the bottom because they'd get run over by an out-of-control 300lb "skier" wearing Realtree camo coveralls.
