With SEC Media Days scheduled for this week, South Carolina has released its updated roster which is the official roster as of July 1.
Here are some newcomer numbers:
17 DB La'Dareyen Craig

22 LB Bam Martin-Scott
27 DB Isaiah Norris

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
** Even though they're listed on this roster, I believe South Carolina is still waiting on Isaiah Norris and Bam Martin-Scott to enroll, unless there is something I have missed there. I'm sure Shane Beamer will be asked about it tomorrow during his media day, but my understanding was and is that it will be August for those guys.
** Defensive back Karon Prunty isn't listed but that's because he committed after the roster was internally put together (this is from the media guide). But Prunty is 100 percent already on campus and has been wearing No. 22.
** Jahmar Brown is listed as a defensive back and at 6-foot-1, 208-pounds. Brown was working at both linebacker and safety at times last season but injuries kept him from making any type of real impact. Brown was also banged up this spring but was listed on the official roster at linebacker at the time so that is an actual change as far as how the staff is listing him. He's always been considered a linebacker with strong coverage ability, so it's not a leap to think he can help the team in the secondary if used well.
