This ridiculous unwarranted shutdown is a Democrat dream. Unelected bureaucrats seizing control of our economy. Even as covid19 fatalities will obviously fall short of the 30-60 thousand we lose to the flu bugs each year.

Right now the only hope they have is to milk this thing for all it's worth. They see their dreams of a total government takeover coming to fruition. If we had to endure 18 months of this, our economy would be ruined beyond repair. It would make the Great Depression look like a financial heyday.
It simply is not possible to stay as is for 12-18 months. If those of us working for the rest stop, who brings in the food, picks up garbage, etc. most people have little idea what it actually takes to run a town, city, state, etc. Yes the virus is here and likely to stay a while but i think the death rate will be much greater if the country stays shut down. We may have to sacrifice a few for the good of the whole.
I have a better idea, lock this gentleman up in a room for 18 months and throw away the key!

McMaster did a big about face. In one update he was praising us for complying then all of a sudden he is complaining about too many people on the roads, too many on the lakes etc. He leaves Home Depot, Lowes and other hardware stores open. Well, its spring and all the new flowers and plants etc. are out at HD and Lowes. No one has anything to do so they all go there to get their new flowers and do yard work. When out on the water you have to keep a safe distance from other boats. Its nothing wrong going out for a boat ride.

Did this guy work for a time in the administration....yes. It is very well noted he actually had differing opinions from President Obama on how to re-shape America's health coverage system. In reality, the guy most referred to as the author of the ACA is Jonathan Gruber....who also wrote the Romneycare bill in MA, the law that gave everyone in Massachusetts universal coverage and still does today.
Also, his opinion that life may not get back to "normal" until a vaccine is in place is shared by many current medical and public health experts.
