OK, Are Aggies Getting Ready to Go Along?

Seems to me that they are done with negative posturing and are moving to positive posturing.
Something tells me that the UT AD and the aTm AD both got together and came to a mutually beneficial agreement that it'd be to both their benefits in regards to satisfying their fan bases for aTm to publicly reject such an expansion that included UT in even the slightest of imagination.

All the while and of course under the table, aTm pretty much can't do a thing about it anyway, so they might as well welcome UT with the possibility of sometime working with each other in The SEC for again their mutual benefit!

JMHOFWIW

Tamu left the Big12 because they wearied of UT's antics and abuses. It's been rumored that UT came to the SEC "hat in hand" so to speak. As evidenced by the rumor that The Longhorn Network was immediately surrendered to sweeten the deal.

If all that is true about TX. A&M might want to watch UT get humiliated by the majority of the SEC. Plus, I don't see Greg Sankey or any of the SEC ADs caving to any of UT's antics like they pulled in the Big12.

As hinted by Jimbo earlier this week. TX is probably going to find this entire experience pretty humbling.

I hope it turns out exactly that way, Brother. I despise them.

It wasn't the UT AD or A&M AD. Much higher. The Texas Governor, Greg Abbott called the A&M Chancellor, John Sharp, who is the former Texas Comptroller, and reminded him he has a line item veto over appropriations. He didn't appreciate the pressure and name calling wanting him to put legislation on the call for a special session. Sharp realized the move can't be stopped and has told the A&M folks to switch to a more positive spin.

A&M won't fight this. This will end up being way too big for them to get left out in the cold. A&M will be a yes here.
