How in the heck does RPI work???

Old Dominion's RPI is 8.

freaking EIGHT!

Mostly Conf-USA wins

The best team they beat was ECU and that was early in the year before ECU got it together.

They played NO ACC and NO SEC teams.

They did beat La-Tech three times at their house. Which is good, but La-Tech might not be as hot as they look. At least they played SEC competition. They went 2-4 against SEC competition.

That 8 RPI of OD has got to be a joke.

Every single SEC team (and probably ACC too) played a harder schedule.

SC's RPI is 18. We played series against SEVEN ranked teams.

It sounds like you may be looking at RPI from a SOS viewpoint. Now, I'm not an expert on RPI to be able to really explain it, but I know enough that it's not something you can just look at who they have played to get an accurate explanation. So much more goes into it, like who your opponents have played, who their opponents have played, wins vs various sections of ranked teams, winning margins, all kinds of crap.

We will find out this weekend who deserves what RPI. I hope we destroy this regional and get red hot for the supers!!

Very simple. You take your wins against top fity. You subtract losses against top 47. You multiply your framenzam times conference coefficient. then put your left foot in then take your left foot out....hold on my phone is ringing. I will finish later.

ACC restricted it's OOC schedule and chose to play additional ACC games instead. Per Mike Martin, Jr. that was a bad decision by the Commissioner and led to them being lower ranked and, thus, lower seeded.

Read it. That's kind of nuts. It doesn't actually take into account how good your opponents are. There are certainly D1 teams of high, middle, and low quality. If you beat a lot of low-middle quality D1 teams, and your opponents beat a lot of low-middle quality D1 teams, then you're going to have a high RPI...

Without REALLY playing a hard schedule.

Total BS. They only played #19 Charlotte on there whole schedule
According to RPI, we have played 29 games vs top 50 teams, they have played 30 games vs top 50. UVA is 5-6 vs top 25, we are 7-14 vs top 25.
