Shea Patterson, #1 dual threat QB, committed to Ole Miss on 2/17. His brother quit his coaching job at LSU, the same day. 6 days later, he was hired by Ole Miss.
Is it just me or does this seem highly unethical and should be against NCAA rules? Doesn't seem any different than any of the other impermissible benefits they ban.

Yeah, hired his brother, 6 days after he announced his commitment. Nothing to see here

Is this any different than the time that snake Dale Brown hired Stanley Roberts high school coach from LR?

Arkansas signed #1 high school qb Mitch McCollum and hired his coach as OC-Gus Malzahn.

Hate to say it but our very own Bill Foster hired the high school basketball coach of Terry & Perry Dozier back in the day- yall remember that? Sketchy as hell.

u know the state laws of miss? this kind of post brings the ignorants out..

do u think that w/ such a high profile kid ole miss would dare wave a flag?

This 'practice' is hardly new, or earth shattering. Ethical? Hell no. Legal, yes.

Clemson gave Hershel Walker's GF a scholarship trying to get him years ago.

Dale Brown hired Stanley Robert's coach at LR (Childers), and amazingly, once Roberts left for the NBA, Mr. Childers was no longer a coach at LSU?

Say it ain't so, unethical activity in college football recruiting....

Bill Foster did some of the same while our basketball coach in the early 1980's.

Mitch Mustain
Thanks I knew it was Mitch something. He was such a bust even after transferring to Southern Cal that I forget the last name other than it started with an "M".

At least it's better than Kansas when they hired Danny Manning's father as an asst. coach who at the time was driving a truck for a living.

Several years ago Kentucky wanted Derrick Hoard in Bristol, TN so they hired his High School Coach so they could get Derrick. After Derricks 4 years were up they fired his coach. Sure hated they fired the old boy.............."Sit down Joe B." was the Ky coach.
