I've forgotten how much it rains here. Been back for 2 weeks now and it seems like it's rained in the upstate just about every day.

Welcome home?

Cranked up the lawnmower on Saturday to run it over the grass that's coming up. Got a few feet off of the asphalt and started spinning. Grass is going to have to wait a bit. Today isn't helping.

I hear you, chief. Pulled a lawnmower out of a ditch yesterday myself. The fellow on it started sliding down the bank and there was no stopping it. Then he made a huge mess trying to drive it up out of the ditch.

I don't think it rains that much, especially when I have to turn the irrigation system on in the summer.

Nice little half-moon rut going from the driveway and then back (I filled it back in immediately). :) Had to go get my wife, put her on the mower, and I pushed. Glad I live in the country and nobody was around to video..lol!

I plant winter rye as well, so I never get to stop cutting grass. It's lining up to be a wetter spring this year after having a dry spring last year. Going to be interesting on farming this spring.
