I would like to go to a weigh in and check the expo out. I don't get to go when it was here 7 years ago and who knows when and if it will be back.

I had a choice last year to go fishing on G or go to the expo. Regrettably we went to the expo. What a waste. You can meet the pros that aren't still fishing, but no deals on equipment. Strike king had a nice booth set up. They would not sell anything, you had to go to Dicks, Academy or some other booth. Didn't even stay for the final weigh in.
Highlight was walking out with Timmy Horton and talking for about 15 minutes. Dude was exhausted and ready to get home.

I fished a few of the pro am events when they came to Clark Hill so my family knows what it is about. However it's free and indoors so it may be worth the trip just to have something to do. I told my daughter KVD would have a line a mile long so don't go based on seeing him again. IMO he shouldn't have to qualify but you gotta respect the fairness BASS tries to employ.
Yes Hite is originally from Prosperity and now lives in Ninety Six. If I'm not mistaken I think he had a USC offer back in the day but got hurt. Andy Montgomery from Blacksburg and Casey Ashley from Donald's are the two SC boys in the event.
