Please pray for Gods Will and a protective hand in safe travels.

RL, every kid from the USA should go on a Mission Trip outside of the country. The poorest of the poor here are better off than 90% of the third world residents..

Both of my girls went on mission trips, one to Honduras at the

end of her senior year and the other one to Mississippi right after Katrina hit to help restore houses and services. They both were marked positively and thoughtfully for life after their trips. Still talk about it after 12 and 8 years away from the experience.
Both wanted the trips as their senior gifts. The joke became that I gave them a "3rd world country experience for graduation." (Sorry, Mississippi... it was that bad down there at that time.)

I pray for your son and his group to have a safe and wonderfully eye-opening experience. And I hope he had his shots. Tell him to be sure to take the malaria meds. Several of the students who went to Honduras foolishly did not take them and ended up very sick after they got back to SC. Very sick.
