OT: Just heard an interesting halftime blurb. Alabama's average starting OL is larger than

But are they all in NFL shape? They'd all probably have to lose a few pounds by then.

REMEMBER, these are all starters. If it was South Carolina, you might have a point. At Alabama, they consider losing two games a year a losing season and they haven't lost more since 2010. I don't know but, I'd venture to believe they're in shape.

Big and slow — Texas was much faster on O and on D.

I’d say that Alabama evaluates their recruits better than some teams I’ve seen. They are getting players and not tackling dummies.

Height/weight ratios can be deceiving on paper. If coaches aren’t careful they could end up with someone who is unhealthy big instead of healthy and athletic big.

It works both ways. I had a friend who was trying to get into Federal Law Enforcement. But couldn’t past the physical. Because on paper he was considered obese for his height. But he was a competing amateur bodybuilder and probably in better shape than 90% of the population and had no body fat. Muscle weights more than fat.

If he couldn't pass the physical he wasn't in great shape.

I guess everybody is just looking for The Hook. "What's the catch mon???"

The entire point, which I thought was at least interesting if not noteworthy but, apparently no one else does, is that Alabama's starting OL (a college team) is larger than ANY NFL (Professional) Team.

A difficult concept for many, ........ "Duh,? yeah??, OK??? So what's the catch????"
