Heating and cooling systems. Looks like I'm in the market this year per my maintenance man. Currently, I have a gas furnace under the house and an electric air conditioner. Any suggestion about best systems, etc? Thanks!

Two years ago I had to get a new one. Went with a two-stage Tempstar. My H&C place financed it through WAMU, and I have had no problems. They check it once a year. Love the two stages.

What did your maintenance man tell you? Is it the AC that needs replacing? If it's just one system going bad, I would only replace that system, but are you looking at replacing both??

Furnace. But the AC is 13 years old.

get an Amana furnace and A/C, lifetime unit replacement for u or your spouse as long as u live at the address it is set upon and registed with Amana. U cannot go wrong. 14, 16 or 18 SEER all carry this warranty on the split system application. go to Amana-hac.com to read about it.
