OT-Link to USC Professor who was killed today.

That's heartbreaking. This guy was really nice and funny. With Dr. Cusaac, this makes two of my former teachers that died unexpectedly.

A neighbor of his said he recently broke up with a girlfriend. And that he had started a new relationship with another woman. The person wondered if that could have anything to do with the shooting. More details will probably come out today.

Very sad. Sounds like a brilliant man who had some out of

control "life" problems, but thus it goes.

GOCOCKS! BEATVANDY! BEATUCONN!

Let's not speculate as to any "problems" this man may or may not have had until that information is released. At this point, all we know is that he was tragically murdered. I don't think it's fair to him to claim he had "out of control 'life problems'" when we have zero confirmed information of that so far.

And no offense meant to you at all chick75, I've just seen a lot of speculation from many folks (which is natural) that I don't think is fair to the victim at this point in time.

Just said it was his ex-wife who killed him.
It has become a common thing these days. I don't remember any of my teachers or students being killed in any way. Now no one seems to have a conscience.I would kill in self defense, but even that would be hard to do. Prison is 3 meals a day and all the drugs to keep you "happy", a gym, TV, video games, free college courses…some inmates have become lawyers. Dang sounds like Play School. It sure doesn't deter anyone from committing a crime. And all of those goodies come on OUR dime. Things are bass ackwards. Sad.

Just curious what it's like to live on the outside of reality there. I don't think you know what you're talking about and it damn sure doesn't have anything to do with this tragedy.

From what's coming out now, it appears he did have "life" problems. His ex-wife showed up, uninvited, at his work before and the police were called. A similar situation happened at my place of employment and the employee who called the police on her spouse ended up getting terminated. I thought it was pretty harsh at the time, but hearing about this shooting at USC makes me understand why company have little tolerance when an employee's personal drama finds its way into the workplace.

A tragic as this situation was at USC, thankfully, it wasn't as horrible as it could have been had the woman decided to turn her gun on students and faculty.
