Good luck. Will be praying for your wife. Not sure of her age. I’m pushing 50. Doctor showed me some exercises to do but pretty much said mine would disappear at some point. And after a couple of weeks it did but it honestly sucked until then. Felt like the world was spinning and one day it went away as quickly as it came. Hope the same thing happens for your wife. But it was scary to even move in the moment. Biggest danger is falling because you have no balance whatsoeverYour time in Prayer Concerning this Will Be Greatly Appreciated. Thank you in Advance.
Have you been checked out? Do you take anything?I get vertigo every now and then. It is devastating. Mine, when it comes, lasts 7 or 8 hours. Can't walk, puke, sweat, freeze, etc. It's horrible. Feels like the worst drunk you've ever had. Good luck to your wife.
Inner ear doctors hit the salt reduction right off the bat. But more serious ailments won't respond to it.Prayers sent.
I'll offer my anecdotal advice. Coworker had this, and was told he had way too much salt in his diet. When he adjusted the diet, the issue alleviated greatly.
The explanation was that the balance in your ear is controlled by various chambers with fluid, and too much salt affected the flow. (In very simple terms)
Yes, though I haven't had a bout in several years. The last episode was our last Clemson game with Spurrier. I couldn't watch or even listen to the game. My doctor prescribed Meclazine to take during a spell but it never seemed to help.Have you been checked out? Do you take anything?
My daughter, also an inner-ear sufferer, takes it now when she has flareups. It knocks her out and she seems better afterwards. Severe inner ear issues are show-stoppers - miserable.Yes, though I haven't had a bout in several years. The last episode was our last Clemson game with Spurrier. God bless her. My fear is that I'll be on an airplane when an episode begins. When I feel it coming on, I have about 45 minutes to get to a bed, near a bathroom. The next 6 to 8 hours are brutal. My daughter, also an inner-ear sufferer, takes it now when she has flareups. It knocks her out and she seems better afterwards. That's how it was with my wife before she had the nerve section. It was sudden, it was debilitating, and it was daylong.God bless her. My fear is that I'll be on an airplane when an episode begins. Thank You again for Your Prayers,
Alan Shephard had that and it kept him out of space for a decade. He had surgery, which was successful and, thus, later walked on the moon.Prayers for you and her. My wife came down with Meniere's Disease on her left side in the 90s, and until she had the balance nerve in her left ear sectioned, she had no quality of life at all. It was terrible. She's much better now. Hoping y'all have a great outcome, however derived.
Thank you for Sharing this with us.My girlfriend has it and she says the doctors have said it is crystals in the inner ear getting misaligned. Things that trigger it are dairy products, change in the weather, stress, and too much alcohol. She had a massage a week and a half ago and the abrupt positional changes also triggered it. Normally she is able to control it through proper diet and limiting her alcohol intake. Nothing she can do about the weather. Good luck in finding her triggers and hopefully she will be able to manage it like my girlfriend has.
