OT : record store day coming up

OK, I blew the budget to hell and back....had a double point of attack today. I went to Horizon Records and my wife went to Pharmacy Records, cell phones in hand. Most of my stuff was pretty mainstream. Here's what I came home with:

The Who - Ready Steady Who 3 7" live recording, not very good recording but rare I guess

The Beatles- 7" - A- Strawberry Fields Forever, B- Penny Lane - cool punch out thing in center

Elton John "17-11-70" 2xLP just put it on, sounds good so far. Live recording from a radio show 1970

Jimmy Page & Black Crowes - 10" - live recording, very cool marble looking vinyl. I mean real cool!

Santana - Woodstock - complete Santana set from Woodstock, haven't opened it yet

U2 - Red Hill Mining Town - 12" picture disc played @ 45 - cool looking, same tune both sides

Sun Records
- compilation LP- awesome Sun recordings- Cash,Luther, Ike,Roy, Killer, Carl...

Toto- Africa- 12" picture disc shaped like Africa & Africa pic side A & Rosanna Arquette pic on side B, couldn't find it in Greenville, but my son found it in Charlotte for me- dont have yet- jacked to see it though

Pink Floyd- Intersteller Overdrive- 12" single 1966 recording- side B is blank, no song, no grooves

Jason Isbell & 400 unit- very cool one- recorded straight to the vinyl- no way to edit, they just started playing & cutting grooves in vinyl. Pauses between songs with dead air, sometimes talking, or tuning up. Was really glad I got this one, was worried might be gone. Love it.

Bill Evans- Another Time 2x LP...havent opened yet. Looks to be a great recording

Neil Young- Decade - new RSD issue, havent opened yet. Last minute decision!

Thelonious Monk- Les Liasons Dangereusse 1960- 2 x LP- better be good, $59.98 !!

Star Wars- A new Hope 10" - picked up for son's lady, no idea, London Orchestra

I think that's it. Just like last year, I had a blast. Made friends in line, and everyone helped each other out once inside. Peace and love baby....cant wait to hear what others found!
