OT: Solicitor Walt Wilkins claiming Frank Howards rock worth $10,000 ?

I doubt an acre of land in Clemson is worth that much but a rock used for a door stop by the coach it was named after is?

That is what you call imagination.

One charge is that the kid stole property worth $10,000 or more. He took only a small piece of the rock. So I suppose the entire thing is worth six figures? What a joke! Why are they trying to ruin the kid's life? Aren't there any grown-ups up there?

I heard about this a week or so ago on a sports show here in Florence. I almost pee'd my pants laughing when a tater called in and started defending this amount by saying anyone who doesn't know the importance/tradition of "the rock" doesn't know college football. He then compared the importance of the rock to the Liberty Bell, Washington Monument, etc.

I guess Frank Howard didn't realize what an expensive door stop he had.

It's a rock. That's right...it's just a rock.

And why on earth is a coach, who claims to be a Christian, be rubbing a rock for good luck? Isn't that sort of a throw back to the superstitions of the dark ages?

You can't say it's all in fun, while at the same time attaching a huge monetary value to it. If it's all in fun, then just glue the piece back on or forget it ever happened.

well, if thats the case this load must be worth a few million......IM RICH!!!!!.....WOOHOO!!!!!!
