Team starts winning and now you take away 500 spots? Bad move. Look for cries of "we need a new stadium" to come soon.

That's where they'll be begging for a new stadium to be built, you watch. Don't ask me to help pay for it though! That's all on the NC taxpayer. That's what they get for building in the heart of downtown .The should had build it next to Carowinds like the original plans
This. Cowboys and Rangers built in Arlington, next to the original Six Flags. Traffic and parking are great. That's what they get for building in the heart of downtown .The should had build it next to Carowinds like the original plans
Tough to tailgate on a trolley and rail system.Yall are all way off base. Still plenty parking. Downtown growth is inevitable. There is a rail system for people to ride, and a trolley being built as well.
I work in the heart of Charlotte, so I am speaking from experience when I say that parking isn't scarce. However, some fans may end up walking a little further. Is that really a bad thing?Tough to tailgate on a trolley and rail system.

Depends on the area(s) you're having to walk through. Sometimes at night. No but you can tailgate, and ride the trolley if your fat butt doesn't want to walk 5 blocks.
The newer stadiums are moving away from downtown. Look at Atlanta's new stadium, Dallas, San Francisco.I work in the heart of Charlotte, so I am speaking from experience when I say that parking isn't scarce. However, some fans may end up walking a little further. Is that really a bad thing?
People adapt. Sports stadiums around the world are situated in the heart of big cities and fans still show up in droves. English soccer comes to mind where a majority of fans take the rail into town, pack the bars pre and post-match, and then walk to/from the stadium.

I'd heard that Charlotte was one of the cities being considered for the BCS playoffs at onetime, not sure if they still are. These stadiums were built because there were no room downtown. San Fran would have loved for the 49ers to stay in town, but what do you tear down to build. Atlanta's new football stadium is just a few blocks from the current stadium. Now the baseball stadium is moving, but that is where the fans are, fans are less likely to come downtown for a baseball game, than once a week for 8 weeks for a football game. Since Panther fans come from all over, it makes sense for it to be where it is.
