Tell me about it. I stopped giving money or even going back to Homecomiing.PC is a mess of a program. They’ve made ALL the wrong decisions ever since leaving division 2.
I remember when Cally Gault was up there. I seem to remember them being a little stronger athletically then, even though they were in the NAIA, I believe.Tell me about it. I stopped giving money or even going back to Homecomiing.
They’ve hit rock bottom.PC is a mess of a program. They’ve made ALL the wrong decisions ever since leaving division 2.
So you’re saying he punted😏
Ouch. If that ain't a mess, it'll do till the mess gets here.Newberry would of put a beat down on PC. The first two games of the year they won against St. Andrews and some team out of FL that just started a football program. Then for the next 9 games they gave up 50-60 points a game and never got close.
winloseortie is correct, he punted. Now they need a coach. The smart thing would be to go beg Spangler to come back. He is still around. He helped at Clinton High this season. Who else is going to take that job? What defensive player wants to trot out there 2-3 or more times a game with your back to the wall and give up 50 points a game? And not be on scholly.
When it’s 4th and 12 from your own 20 and it’s still the first half-the best play is to punt. No doubt. It might have worked for him in high school when he always had superior talent. But not at PC. Analytics be damned.
The Bronze Derby was at one time played on Thanksgiving day, one of the biggest attraction for football fans in the state.Should drop down to Division II and beg and plead for a SAC membership. Someone at PC got a bit too big for his britches. Still miss seeing some of the Bronze Derby games.
The only two conferences I know that do it are the Ivy League and the Pioneer League. Most are smaller private schools with fairly large endowments and tend to offer a good amount of academic scholarships for players. Most seem to be Division I football due to another Div. 1 sport for which they offer athletic scholarships.Bobby Bentley stayed two years and then said HS was better. How do you play D1 with no scholarships? What kind of a commitment is that?
Wow. I’m actually surprised that someone that took such an insane approach (never punting) gave up so easily. Where’s his conviction?
Clearly he never truly believed in what he was doing and was just looking for cheap attention. Well, he got it. Now what for him?
