Moderators, apologies for using FGF to draw attention to my post on Small Talk but our family needs urgent advice from the Carolina community. Our daughter received her acceptance letter to Carolina yesterday but we need advice from those of you who are educated about FAFSA.

The title of my post in Small Talk is "My daughter got accepted! Need info about FAFSA & tax returns, please!"

If at all possible, could you allow this post to remain on FGF until we have received the help / advice we need for our daughter on Small Talk? Thank you for understanding.

I hate FAFSA, I rather have a sharp stick in the eye than deal with FAFSA... You'll need to file for it before April 1. Go ahead and put your info in and if you haven't done your taxes, use last years and give a best guess. Then you can go back correct it with this year's tax form.

FAFSA

Once you have electronically filed your tax return, FAFSA is a breeze. All you have to do is click on a button and all of the info from your tax return will automatically be filled into the appropriate spots on the FAFSA.
