I should have more on this tomorrow when I talk about how little OV game results have an impact on recruiting, but I wanted to say a couple of things about Harbor's visit in case people were worried that the poor showing against the Bulldogs doomed the official visit.
Everyone I have spoken with regarding Harbor said he had a wonderful time and was really impressed with getting the full experience of an official visit. It is important to note that the Gamecocks were his first official, so an OV with any major college program is going to be a huge step up experience-wise from an unofficial. That said, other than the game, it sounds like South Carolina put their best foot forward with Harbor, and everything I've gathered doesn't make me feel like I need to adjust my futurecast in the slightest.
That said, I am interested to see the reviews for his scheduled OVs to Michigan next weekend as they take on the Maryland Terrapins, and LSU (10/7) when they host Tennessee. There's no doubt that Michigan has a lot to offer, and Brian Kelly has always been a fairly successful recruiter in his own right.
This one likely won't be resolved any time soon, but despite the game, by all accounts, Harbor and his family saw what they needed to see this weekend to keep the Gamecocks solidly in this one, and I'd still call them the leader, but we will see if that holds up through his other fall OVs.
