Ratings of High School Players

Once you get past the top 25 very best or so, the guru's don't know squat...Recruiting is and always has been an inexact science...The best you hope for is great evaluations and highly rated classes every year to put the odds in your favor

Recruiting has become such a business now, but I wouldn't take it that seriously. Connor Shaw didn't have that many stars and had the best career in school history. Todd Ellis was all world and he set the national record for interceptions.

It is extremely difficult to evaluate a 17 or 18 yo kid who is in high school and predict with any sort of accuracy what kind of athlete he will be at age 22 or 23. Development is just as important as evaluation when it comes to college athletics. It is not just an inexact science, it is almost an exercise in futility.
