Has anyone seen the minute-or-so long clip from a Rattler interview regarding the bowl game? I can't bring Twitter up here at work to link it but if you search his name, the clip should be easy to find. Sounds like to me he may be heading out after the bowl game?!??!

Wouldn't surprise. He's got the raw arm strength that he probably wants to hone with specialists for a shot at the next level. His numbers obviously weren't very good this year. However, he's got the notoriety. If he were to close being a big part of beating two top ten teams (and possibly ND), that might be his peak at the college level and at this point in his career.

I try not to read in to what people are saying to much. But it sounds like Rattler is playing in the bowl mainly as a favor to Beamer.

The case is either: 1) he isn’t coming back or 2) he is still deciding.

It sucks being uncertain at QB. I hope he stays at least one more season though.

Not sure if there’s anyway to tie NIL into players showing up for the bowl. Rattler did get $2 million this year. Won’t say he owes it to us but if there is anyone we should expect to suit up it should be him. No one got paid more to play all season long.

This article is from August. He is #4 there with a $2 million dollar deal. Just signed with Mercedes Benz and some acne company I’ve never heard of. Could be more now.

I’m not knocking Rattler by any stretch. But I do hate when people say he’s being such a great teammate for playing in the bowl without acknowledging he’s getting paid far more money than anyone else on the roster. With that money is an expectation to show up and play….
