--Starts by saying the media covering SEC basketball is a "joke." Said that's why the narrative around the SEC is so negative. Said he really only answer questions outside of Columbia from Kentucky and Arkansas writers.

--Players had a meeting yesterday without the coaches. "Hopefully they Kumbayaed and had some hot tea." Said it only helps if the team starts winning and he's trying to keep the team connected with the present.

--Mentioned that the majority of the teams in the SEC are grouped together and about five to seven teams will be playing in the tourney. Said the next few weeks will determine which teams that'll be.

--"They can be on their same page all they want. But they better be on my same page." Said it's not healthy when leadership is coming from a head coach.

--Recapping the A&M loss: "We had no answer for them...On that day they were just better...They played high-level basketball." Said he wasn't displeased with the effort against the Aggies, just A&M played a lot better that day.

--Frank Martin said Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson doesn't get enough credit for how good his teams are offensively. "They attack match-ups. They know who they want to go after."

--Martin said having Justin McKie, who he said resisted Frank Martin at first, on staff has been good and a mentoring experience for a young team. Said leadership is coming from Brian Steele and Justin McKie.

"You play the whole season and you're always searching to grow every day."

--Martin said players have been trying to figure out how to close games. Said it's happened this season against Kentucky and Florida but hasn't happened of late against Texas Tech and Mississippi State. It's been inconsistent.

--Young players can't get wrapped up in the past and the future. Said worrying about the unknown brings about "confusion" and it comes from being clear about the present. "We're right now in the middle of the whole thing. Because of our Kumbaya are we going to be a little better?"
