I lived in Knoxville in the early-mid 90's. My boss was a UT grad. He talked me into becoming a member of the Knoxville QB club. UT was annually a Top 5 program during that time, so it was pretty fun.
Anyway, the QB club always had great speakers. I saw Todd Blackledge, Chris Fowler, Phil Fulmer, Pat Summitt, Archie Manning and many more. One time Frank Broyles came and spoke. He gave what amounted to a lecture on the demise of the Southwest Conference. He was a very good speaker and had an interesting perspective on the SWC. I can tell you he was glad as hell to be in the SEC.
