The American Dream Dusty Rhodes has passed away

Strange but right before I clicked on this thread I knew it was gonna say Dusty Rhodes is dead. May the Dream rest in peace.

I've wined and dined with kings and queens and I've slept in alleys and dined on pork and beans.

I googled Dusty Rhodes and got this pic. Is this really him? I would have never recognized him, if so.

I met him at one of his youngest son's wrestling tournaments while he was still in HS. Son wrestled for one of the HS around Canton, Ga and Dusty would come to most and usually had a couple of fellow professional wrestler's with him. Cody was a pretty good HS wrestler. The same county also had Rich Steiner as a commissioner around the same time.

But like you said, he was a super nice guy, as most really were, and was very accomodating to fans when he was just there as a proud Dad.

Dusty was great!
I'll miss him.

Somehow I knew the american dream would die under Obama.

RIP Dream.
