I honestly think there is a special connection between the sunshine pumper fans and team- where after a win everyone gets complacent. The pumpers lecture everyone about not being real fans, the team eats pizza and plays video games all week and has a hangover on game day……
Unfortunately, if you look at the UK game as the enigma, the season makes a bit more sense.
Our offense is and has been under performing for the last 19 games with the exception of the Mayo Bowl.
Statistics validate offense ineptitude.
Hard to watch. Confidence in our offense is zero
We had a great half in the Mayo bowl. It wasn't even a full game.
I hate when we don't match another team's intensity.

I can take a loss. What I can't take is another lackluster performance like last night.
Beamer, you're a good guy and most fans want you to be our coach a long time but you won't be if we see much more of that. Make changes.

Imagine if they had had a bad week of practice. Coach Beamer, you can not tell me in the whole college football community that there isn't an OC that's available who couldn't get this offense moving?
The first thing Beamer discussed in his post-game was all week having to try to prevent the team from having a let down and taking the game lightly.
How is this even possible? We've 3 non-conference teams, a UK team without it's QB, and a 3-4 A&M team. How can we need motivation for a homecoming game where we've finally ekked into the Top 25 for the first time in years? You practice all year to play a total of 12 games. Bizarre. The last thing this team should be is overconfident or lackadaisical.
And … win the game and you’re Bowl eligible!

With all due respect Robhawk, and all the other posters above but, who is in charge? Who is responsible for our team's performance? Where does the buck stop? I mean, who is the HEAD COACH anyway?
Who hired Satterfield? Why, in the world, is everyone cutting Beamer a break?? Is it because he's never been a head coach before??? Is it because he's never had ANY experience coordinating an Offense???? .... Or is it just his lack of coaching experience all together?????
And we're paying him $2.75 MILLION A YEAR to Learn?????? Now that's one hellofva a scholarship.
I think the answer to your last question is "yes". We hired an inexperienced, unqualified nice guy who "wanted to be here". The hope was that he would hire great coordinators and "be a ceo coach".
So we'll go through a few coordinators before anything really starts falling back on Beamer.
