While it is not good team basketball, and there is no real effort to play good team basketball, there is so much individual talent to enjoy. The players are really playing hard, but it is more playground style individual effort. And, there is no real pressure on the players, so they are just out to have fun. And, make no mistake about it , these are for the most part elite players.
I agree completely, which is why I said it's a fun event. I've gone a few times when it's been convenient. Wish I had been there a couple years ago when Khris Middleton showed up.
One year I went, and Chris Silva was on a "I too, can play guard" kick. Every time he would get a rebound he would dribble down court and try to dunk. Just amazing, he never seemed to get tired. Frank would bench him in a minute if he tried that in a game, and any really quick SEC guard (all are), who was really playing defense, would have him fouled out in no time. Still, fun to watch.
I think I saw Khris Middleton at the SC Pro-Am. I looked him up and saw how much money he was making, and was amazed.
I see that Khris grew up in Charleston.
