7 titles 5 different teams
LSU
USC x 2
Vandy x 2
Miss st
UF

8 runner ups
USC
ARK
UF
UGA
VANDY x 2
MISS ST
LSU

In those 13 years 2016 was the only year an SEC team did not play for the title.

UGA has a title. Mizzou has a title and several other championship appearances. UT and Bama have both been runner ups.
This leaves only UK, Ole Miss, Auburn and A&M without a title game appearance

Here is something to look at too..

SEC Championship that went on to win the National Championship.

This year Arkansas won it and lost in the regionals.

SEC Championship and National Championship

Vandy 2019
LSU 2009
LSU 2000
LSU 1993

Georgia kick off the SEC run by winning in 1990. 13 National Championship in the last 31 years..

5 different teams from the same conference win national titles in 12 years. I wonder how often that has happened in the history of the NCAA in any sport.

unbelievable baseball. So many haters outside the SEC when this is whispered or hinted at being a discussion....but I don't think it's marveled at enough.
Complete dominance.

Y'all are forgetting about football.
1998 Tenn
2003 LSU
06 Fla
07 LSu
08 Florida
09 Alabama
10 Auburn
11 Alabama
12 Alabama

Pretty good run there as well

I would include the past 9 years too
15 Alabama
17 Alabama
19 LSU
20 Alabama

several runner up years too.

The fact that only once in the past 15 years a championship game has not had an SEC team in it says a lot

Question: How many more SEC baseball teams NOT on that list win a title before we do again?
Arkansas has the best possibility. Who else has a legit shot?

I think the baseball dominance is more impressive than the football dominance because one baseball program hasn't stood out head and shoulders above the others. About half the programs in the conference legitimately expect their baseball team to be a national champion contender.
