We just crushed one of our biggest rivals by 17 points, and it wasn't that close. Did nobody watch the game or something?

Strange ain't it? Ready to pounce when we lose, but can't say one dam good job fellas or anything!

I'm not just talking about the folks who are down on the team. Even the positive people haven't showed up. This place is just plain dead.

Great win today for the Court Cocks, especially with 2 road games coming up. If we can win 1 of the next 2 (Tues in Fayetteville, Sat in Nashville) I'll be pleased.

Working today. Hopefully I can catch a replay on the internet somewhere

It's Saturday; most people are doing things after the game.

Maybe, but if Carolina lost, the board would be in a "Fire Frank" meltdown.

I got in a little while ago from game but just now got on here. Very much

a fun game, good win. Defense and FTs were excellent.

GOCOCKS! BEATOLAYMISS! BEATARK!

Much better ball movement tonight = better shooting. That three pointer by Chat at the 2:44 mark as the shot clock went off (after receiving the ball from Ty who in turn got the ball from Thornwell who was working in the paint) was clinical.

We bound for the CBI yet? NCAA's not going to happen, NIT is a long shot due to our poor conference play, CBI is the only thing to get excited about this season. Season may be a bust but at least we beat Clemsux.

I don't really think the shooting was that great today. We were what, 40%? The key was, we went out there and dictated the game. That's been the difference between how we played in December and how we've played since conference started. Ever since SEC play began, we've let other teams dictate how the game was to be played. Today, we imposed our will on Georgia, and it showed. Keep playing with that type of confidence and aggression, and we still have a chance at the NIT.

This team plays hard, and with heart. Sometimes the shots don't fall, that's a fact. The thing I like about this team and CFM is the effort. It's easy to pull for a team that always seems to give maximum effort.

I know and it's no better on IF. I was hoping for a long thread on the outstanding game the GCs played but.......
USC beat the second best team in the SEC and I have to hunt for a thread about it. Hmmmm....
I used to just brush off the complaints about some negative posters being taters but now I'm not so sure.
FM is the best MBB coach since unowho and he's gonna build a winner here. There was even a decent crowd at the game.
It's great to have a coach who is driven and loves winning as much as eating. His game plans are almost perfect. His before game remarks are genius. I guarantee that a player who makes a mistake and gets his butt chewed by FM will remember that chewing out and will play better.

I watched the second half. Very glad to see us hang on and win. Thank goodness for the technical foul on UGA's coach because the game was about to get interesting. That was a 5 point swing.

Here's something interesting. Usually after a loss we constantly hear people complaining about free throws and our inability to make them. I wonder if some of those folks realize we're 3rd in the league in FT%.

Not saying you Pepsi. Your comment just made me think of this little fact I heard Mike mention during one of our broadcasts that he was doing.

Goes to show if they can some outside shots and make free throws, they can win.
We're 3rd in the league in FT%. Something tells me that hasn't been the big issue this season. Yes, we might miss some at key times, as all teams do, but again, it's not the big issue.

There were a half dozen or more threads about the game, during the game and after the game. What makes you think nobody was watching or that nobody cares.

I saw thread titles about specific calls/ plays at least three or more titled "good win"... People talking about what would make this a perfect weekend, listing beating UGA as #1 on their list, there was an article on the home page.... I mean, where did you look before posting this thread?

Really impressive defensive effort. They get all the credit for UGA struggling. Offense seemed a little crisper, got better shots than they have been getting.

Still, it's just a nice home win. If FM can win a road game, put together a little SEC winning streak. Pair good defense with good offense over a stretch of games... It will be worth getting excited about. Until then, the excitement for these out-of-the-blue league wins fades about 30 minutes after the game is over.

Now there you go again making sense.

You know that doesn't play here!

The big problem with this team is that we have no body who can consistently score the ball. Help is on the way though. I am willing to give Frank a year or two with Dozier and the other players coming in next year.

Once we lose Ty at the point and bring in some talent around Stroman at the point we should be at least an NIT level team next year and squarely on the bubble or Frank may be in trouble.

It was a great and much needed win against a decent team. There is definite improvement from last year. We're 20 games into this season and have 11 wins. 20 games into last season we had 7 wins. That's a lot of improvement, record wise, and we seem to have more quality wins this year. I'm a wait-and-see type of person, but there is progress being made, frustrating though the process is sometimes. I'm willing to give credit where credit is due. Those who dump on Martin after every loss and disappear after every win should think about that.

With Dozier this team is 18-2. Next season Dozier is gonna prove big name recruits can come here and be successful. Martin will have us in the NCAAs year in and year out. Give him a LITTLE more time to build this program. Horn probably left this program worse than what Scott left Holtz in football.
