For folks who normally park along Shop Road (close to the Stadium), the landscape along Shop Road is continuing to evolve. I am curious to see and to know to what extent, if any, this new construction is going to have on game day parking and traffic patterns along Shop Road. From an aesthetic standpoint, these new properties will be the latest improvements to the Williams-Brice Stadium area.
The "Reign Living at the Stadium" apartments are under construction right next to where The Gates apartments are located. Across the street (Shop Road) from The Gates, Cruisers Roost RV Tailgate Park is under construction.
[Note: I have no connection whatsoever to either of these properties. I have seen the Stadium area transformed from a largely dingy warehouse district to an attractive (with some exceptions) and appealing area over the past 25 years. I drove by these two (2) latest projects today to see how construction was coming along.]

How this will Work
Have you ever wished you had access to RV Parking close to the University of South Carolina campus that you could use anytime you wanted? Now you do!
Cruisers Roost RV Tailgate Park is located at 1090 Shop Road, across from The Gates condominiums. This is about a ½ mile walk to Williams-Brice Stadium. The anticipated completion for the park is late spring, 2019.
The development will include paved roads with concrete curbing and landscaping. The park will have new entrance and exit gates on Blaylock road and a pedestrian gate on Shop Road. The perimeter will be enclosed with eight-foot-high fencing with automated gates. Each site will have electrical, water, and sewer hook-ups. When completed the development will include area lighting, a Pavilion, a Guard Quarters for full time residency, and a park area.
Owners will have year-round access to their site however, occupancy of their site is limited to 90 out of every 120 days. In addition, 8 lots may host 2 RVs for restricted time periods.
The development will have 36 deeded RV sites. The sites range in size from 1,312 square feet up to 2,865 square feet. 6 sites will be pull through and the remaining 30 will be back-in.
The development will be a RV Condo association. There will be Covenant and restrictions with a governing board made up of homeowners. The COA fees will cover water, sewer and common area expenses.
