Yes, and their "contract" is one-way. You might sign it, they won't . and it does not matter what you agree on when you upgrade, you are screwed- their word is worse than a DC politician. I would throw my TVs away before I deal with those sobs again- ever.Originally posted by ReadR00ster:

So, if you purchase the $5 sports package, you can watch not only SEC TV but ALSO SEC TV+ correct??Originally posted by e11ys:
Yes and yes. If you're talking about SEC Network +, you have access to that if you subscribe to the $5 Sports Extra add on channels.
i have to have my Discovery channel, if it wasn't for that, I WOULD drop TV service.Originally posted by Forever Fowl:
Internet TV ( via Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, etc. ) + free over-the-air local stations ( via antenna ) is killing the cable/satellite industry.
Once you cut the cable/sat feed the only question you'll ask yourself is why you didn't do it sooner.
Big question: I presume that with Sling, I can port it via Bluetooth or cable adapter from my iPad to my big TV and watch everything on TV that I get on the iPad? Especially Watch ESPN and all the SEC+ channels PLUS FOX NEWS?Originally posted by Forever Fowl:

And can you get SEC+ ??Originally posted by shiverz:
I have Sling and it works great.
I'm waiting for Apple to come out with it's programing before I cut the TV cable...Originally posted by cocknjax:

That should be true from all I have read on it, just curious what you real geeks say. if all that is possible, I am going to cut the cord, go air to air TV antennae, sling, and ROKU. I already have PS3. What say Ye?
I checked the specs on the chromecast $29.95 streamer (BESTBUY) and it says this:Originally posted by ReadR00ster:
I have Chromecast and I can't port the Sling TV app with it supposedly. I haven't tried meaning, I don't have sling TV on my phone. My PC uses a 39 " TV as a monitor. I have streamed WatchESPN games from my phone to my TV with it though. Roku and Amazon Fire TV stick is supposed to let you port it though. That is all done through Wifi though, not Bluetooth.
Chromecast should be compatible with any TV that has a standard HDMI port.. The TV should also has a USB port to plug into for power. Think of it as a wireless HDMI cable. It's a receiver that can pick up HDMI signal over WIFI and display any program that Supports Chromecast from any device on the WIFI network and display it on the TV it is plugged into.Originally posted by cocknjax:

"Cast the Web to your TV: (Casting from Chrome feature is currently in beta.)
With Chromecast, cast a Chrome browser tab with anything from photos to music to video from your Windows or Mac laptop or Chromebook Pixel to your TV at home.
Plug in and play."
Where it says "Beta" above does that mean that it is compatible with a Sony Bravia 48" TV?
Anyone know, or where to find out?
