So proud of our coach and team for taking part in the Columbia march

You sound mad. Laughing

You are the most absurd poster on this board! How in this God's world does he sound mad? I'm not mad at his post or the way he wrote the post but I'm mad at your absurdity- I mean your quantity of absurdness is wildly unreasonable.

Didn't you say you wouldn't stop to help a Democrat on the side of the road?

Sir, do not post things I didn't say. I have never made such a statement. Someone said I won't stop to help a Democrat but I didn't say that. HEY, HERE IS A NEWS FLASH FOR YOU! My wife and I are both registered Democrats, do you believe I would not stop to help her if her car was broken down on the side of the road. Plus, we have a number of friends that are Democrats.

PROVE THAT I SAID "I WON'T STOP TO HELP A DEMOCRAT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD"!

Agree. Great post. I was proud to see them marching. More proud to see Those not registered going to register to vote

And they (generation) are kicking and screaming about the changes but the changes are coming, and fast whether they like it or not.

thankfully.
Define some of these amazing changes.

Well, I apologize.

I know you did say that you hope crime occurs in Minneapolis. You said that this week.

They're not SoCon, and whatever. What makes our team better than theirs? Obviously nothing, they were better than us and 10 other teams last season. So then why SHOULD we be better than they are? The name on the front of the jersey? The little patch that says SEC? Stop believing the conference hype.

Its never the wrong time to do the right thing. Kudos to our team and coaches for stepping up. The young people of this nation can lead us to a better place because my generation (50+) has really screwed things up.

GO COCKS!
BLACK LIVES MATTER!
The young people can lead us down a soft pass of destruction. See the take over of Seattle with armed liberals with Antifa and your precious BLM. You only respect your opinion and condemn and censor anyone that disagrees with you. You will not acknowledge other deaths that happened during the riots. Do you think that your post promotes any unity? A representative republic is not good enough, you want global socialism that has worked no where.

I have mixed emotions....I want justice for what happened to Floyd, but I want us to be Americans, not white Americans or Black Americans...just Americans. I think it is destructive to keep singling out blacks. The fact is MANY more whites are killed each year by cops than blacks. Zero tolerance for racism in the police force would help solve that side. Changing the culture in the black community to respect the law and law enforcement would help that side. Symbolic gestures accomplish nothing. Taking down statues and renaming bases are futile attempts and symbolic appeasement. Make meaningful changes in yourself, your community, and in police standards.

My bad... The powerhouse Sunbelt Conference... I believe they were part of the SoCon when we snagged a great coach of Spooky Woods...

If that makes you feel better to lose to a SoCon team, then have at it...

Well, you have justice for Mr. Floyd. All four of those police officers were arrested and charged with serious crimes. That is the same justice any white person would have gotten but probably not that fast.

Here's a potential antidote. It's from one of the greatest thought leaders of our time (harvested from your "screwed up" generation) and he happens to also be a democrat - not that this should matter one iota.

You showed no concern when armed far right protesters decided to "take over" Michigan.

Do you have a link to back up this "take over" story of yours?

Look up Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. They forced the police out of the local precinct and have barricaded sections of the street, patrolling with weapons in a no weapons zone, setting up tents in the middle of the streets as well.

it depends on your race... if you are one of the now demonized white folk, then apologize for that.

Hell no.

I don’t have anything to apologize for. The level to which some people are stooping to just to pander to another group of people is stunning.

If you want to be a beta male and apologize, grovel, or wash the feet of strangers knock yourself out. I’m not doing it.

You sound mad too.

Looks like we can ignore racism & police brutality now and shift our focus back over to Covid-19. Protests had nothing to do w/ this targeted virus spreading but it stopped taking time off. Must be hungry again.

I haven't screwed up a damn thing. I've worked hard all my life made my own way, paid taxes-plenty of them, so people on welfare are able to stay home and not work. Don't blame a thing on this guy.

All Lives Matter! Including police officers who have been demonized throughout this whole process.

By people on welfare you mean those children who can stay home and not work. It's called aid for dependent children that your tax dollars support.

Always recruiting. And they know it's a con game. Most of these coaches are smart enough to know the black lives matter doesn't really mean that all black lives matter. The only ones that matter are the ones that fit a certain media narrative. If otherwise, they would tear the mayors office down in Chicago incensed by the weekly tally of black people killed. But the coaches know if they don't jump on board, they will have it used against them on the recruiting trail. Its just business.

A very astute observation. And this is notwithstanding a coach's personal take on race relations.

black lives MATTER probably conveys the BLM message more clearly.

Hard to criticize the football team. They don't need my approval but they did everything right, IMO. They were peaceful, respectful and did it on their own time.
