i'm thinking hoke will be named HCIW and he may push some of the d coaches to quit, hint (adams)Originally posted by jeff2001:
They will more than likely name somebody on D. "Assistant head coach".
He has two good, long NFL tenures under his belt. That's pretty impressive. I've said the same thing about him as HCIW material. I think HBC also sees him as a guy who will look out for Jr down the road.Originally posted by G.I. Joe:
Hoke is a big time hire, tbh. He could have easily been on an NFL staff if he chose. Spurrier used his personal connections to land him
Hoke will have complete control of the defense. So who gets demoted, you would think Adams or Botkin, but that does not make sense with the Hoke hire. That will make 3 coaches that coaches DBs for a living, not sure if Ward, Brown or Hoke can coach any other positions. But of course I think there will be more changes on the defense staff in the coming days and would not be surprise if Adams, Botkin and Brown are doing something else next year. I also think there will be some changes on the Offensive side as well, all the coaches will be back, but they will have some different duties. I look for Spurrier Jr to be the sole OC next year, but giving up the RC job to somebody else.Originally posted by craneoperatr1@aol.com:
and how much control will he have over the defense?
