It is a catchy song. When the song came out, a friend of mine down the street from me actually bought the “Men without Hats” album (actually it was a cassette tape) that had Safety Dance on it. The rest of the album was terrible and embarrassing to listen to. No wonder they were a one-hit wonder.

We saw Men Without Hats in Atlanta about 6 months ago. Only knew 2 songs but they were freaking AWESOME! High energy, cool music.
