relentless pounding of writers, sports talk moderators, and radio/television analysts harping on his performance at every press conference, daily newspaper columns beating the drums of Spurrier Accountability, everywhere he turns, there might be a mic in his face with a nasty-mood interviewer behind it. SOS really dislikes the press - unless they are pandering to his presence.

So, re: the question of. 'Would he retire/quit?' I don't know, but if things continue to go south with this team, life might not be as pleasant (among our legion of fans as well as the local media) in Columbia for the HBC as it has been for the past 10+ years. GamecockNation has gotten used to winning and no one wants to go back to the bad ole days. JMHO.
