Sounds like Waldrop gone for the season again. Basically

Participation reports shows we played 10 offensive linemen the other night and Waldrop wasn't one of them.

And barring a miraculous recovery....Alan Knott becomes the most indispensable player on our team. His backup would be Zach Bailey, a true freshman tackle.

Waldrop had missed several of the practices before UNC with another, different leg problem. He came back when Walton and Adams came back but most likely hadn't had enough practice time to play. Seems to be the Akeem Auguste of our OLine...wrestling the award away from Matulis.

Hard to say we were counting on him when we've never been able to. And I'm not dogging him or saying it's his fault. It is what it is. Kind of like saying we lost a bunch when Mike Davis went pro early after he pulled himself out of the game so many times in crunch time when we needed him. It minimized his loss for this year imo.

Terrible news for the player and his team. We are operating on a band aid. That shift to ol for Jones takes on a more meaningful move now.

Zack was Rivals number 1 recruit in the state of South Carolina last year. So he obviously has some talent. And he is big

Wow...not good to lose him but it's not like we don't have talent. And as long as we control the line of scrimmage and time of possession, we will be able to manage the number of plays this offensive line has to play. As long as we don't lose a STARTER, we should be fine. We have depth at OLine.
