The NCAA contact period began on Sunday and runs two weeks through Saturday, December 11, which means South Carolina and schools across the country will have their coaches on the road heading into next month's early signing period.

A contact period is defined as a period of time when it is permissible for authorized athletics department staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.

Furthermore, from yesterday through Jan. 29, 2022, each school is allowed six in-person off-campus contacts per prospect with no more than one permitted in any one calendar week.

The entire South Carolina staff is on the road recruiting today.

We will keep this post updated throughout the week with more info on the coaches' stops.

MONDAY

** South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer is in Georgia today where he's set to stop in on Gamecocks commits OL Grayson Mains, OL Cason Henry and DB Emory Floyd after all took in the Clemson game on Saturday.

Beamer will be joined by Marcus Satterfield and Greg Adkins on the Mains and Henry stops and by Clayton White and Torrian Gray on the Floyd stop, which is an in-home visit.

Beamer is also set to drop by Alpharetta High, which is home to some talented young guys, and Roswell High, which is home to 2023 four-star CB Ethan Nation.

** Marcus Satterfield will also be at Alpharetta and Roswell with Beamer. On Friday, he's scheduled to take in quarterback commit Braden Davis' game.

** Wide receivers coach Justin Stepp flies to Texas today and is scheduled to conduct his in-home visit with wide receiver commit Landon Samson.

Stepp is scheduled for an in-home visit on Tuesday with WR target and Pitt commit, three-star Camden Brown, who the Gamecocks offered earlier this season.

** South Carolina running backs coach Montario Hardesty is in Atlanta today where he'll drop in on several high schools.

Hardesty will drop in on Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity, home to class of 2023 four-star RB Justice Haynes.

North Cobb is also among those stops. They always have talent and have an intriguing 2023 QB in Malachi Singleton.

Hardesty also plans to drop in on South Atlanta HS RB Keyjuan Brown, who has emerged as a South Carolina target.

Woodstock HS is also on the list of stops.

** South Carolina tight ends coach Erik Kimrey is in his Midlands territory today and will drop in on Westwood, Blythewood, Ridge View, Spring Valley, Richland Northeast and A.C. Flora. Kimrey will then hit his Georgia territories for the next couple of days.

** Defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey is in the Miami area today and will drop in on the school of defensive line commit Jamaal Whyce. Florida Christian High School is also home of 2023 four-star DB Antonio Robinson, who also has an offer from the Gamecocks.

Lindsey will also check in on Gulliver Prep, which already has a couple of underclassmen Power 5 commits, and Miami Killian which has several highly rated guys already including 2024 four-star DL Dylan Stephenson, 2023 three-star DB Dwight Bootle, 2023 four-star DB Stanquan Clark, 2023 four-star RB Ryan Bullard, and 2023 three-star ATH Robby Washington.

Lindsey will go by Columbus High, home of 2024 four-star DE TJ Capers.

** Defensive ends and outside linebackers coach Mike Peterson is set to check up on a key South Carolina in-state target in Sumter (S.C.) four-star DE Monteque Rhames, who was in Columbia for the Clemson game. Rhames is believed to be a Carolina lean at this time.

Peterson will also drop in on West Florence, home of 2023 DB target Kelvin Hunter, who has an offer and was at the game Saturday.

And he'll be by South Florence, home to 2023 three-star quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who is committed to Virginia but has been hearing from the Gamecocks and visited for a recent game.

Peterson is scheduled to go see priority South Carolina EDGE target Jaishawn Barham on Tuesday.

** Defensive backs coach Torrian Gray is set to join Beamer and White on Emory Floyd's in-home visit and will join Hardesty at Roswell High.

In addition, Gray is set to visit Lassiter, Kell and McEachern. McEachern is home to ECU WR commit Kaleb Webb, who the Gamecocks offered this season - he visited for the Troy game but I don't get the sense there's a whole lot cooking between the two parties anymore.

** Special teams coach Pete Lembo will be in his New Jersey territory today and he'll hit multiple schools including Winslow Township, Woodrow Wilson, Pennsauken (2023 three-star ATH Ejani Shakir and 2023 three-star DB Kahlil Ali), Delran and The Hun School.

Lembo will be in Pennsylvania tomorrow and will conduct an in-home visit with four-star DB commit Keenan Nelson Jr.
