…by Ole Miss in Women’s Basketball. One big obstacle out of the way.

On the surface I’d say our path just got easier. Stanford is obviously one of the big dogs….but Ole Miss is playing really good. I don’t think it’s a flash in the pan. I think they’re going to be an up and comer in women’s basketball for a while.

Did Mississippi even score a field goal in the last five minutes of the game? I recalled all their points coming from the free throw line.

The ladies need to take note of this and come out of the gate strong going forward. Anybody can beat anybody from here on in. They trailed after the first period and giving teams that boost of confidence can make life miserable if you aren't careful. Sure... We won by 30 but nonetheless the teams left in the tourney didn't get there by being lucky. Ole Miss might be a tough out after taking down Stanford.

That might be the case but that’s how it is when the trailing team tries to get the ball back in the final minutes. It’s a desperation tactic that works now and then. Still stunned that Stanford lost on their home court. Now if someone could take out UCONN.

“ Lady Gamecocks”!!!

The SEC doesn't look near as bad as before the tournment started. LSU also looked real good last night. Not a Reese or Mulkey fan but they showed out. Even MSU pushed ND hard.

looking at both men's and women's basketball tournament the SEC should represent 25 percent of the sweet sixteen.
