I think he represents a certain amount of risk, but a good risk. That program had a rough year but that program is also pretty solid.

Taggart must have a ton of "untapped" potential, because what he's done so far as a head coach has been pretty mediocre.
He has an overall losing record, during which he had the one good final season at USF that he parlayed into the HC job at Oregon.

At Oregon he only had a single 7-5 season.

Now he's snagged one of the best jobs in all of college football??

And he had a pretty good one out there also, awash in money. Those people gave him a huge opportunity to move up in the coaching ranks and he abandoned them after one year for ambition's sake.
