1. Kevin Harris rushed for 171 yards, marking his second 100-yard game to start the season. Since 2000, the Gamecocks have only had five other running backs with multiple 100-yard games through the teams first three games. Marcus Lattimore did it three times to start the 2011 season. Rico Dowdle (2018), Mike Davis (2013), Corey Jenkins (2002) and Derek Watson (2000) all had two 100-yard games.

2. South Carolina's 34-point win is the largest margin of victory against an FBS opponent since 2018 when the Gamecocks opened the season with a 34-point win over Coastal Carolina. It's the largest margin of victory in a SEC game since 2013, a 45-point win over Arkansas.

3. The Gamecocks averaged 7.7 yards per play Saturday, which is the third-highest average yards per play against an SEC team since 2000. They averaged over eight yards per play against Tennessee in 2014 and at Kentucky in 2010. It's also just the third time of the Will Muschamp era the Gamecocks averaged over seven yards per play. Ole Miss (2018) and Vanderbilt (2018) were the other two.

4. The 289 team rushing yards were the most against an FBS team since rushing for 356 yards against Vanderbilt in 2001.

5. The Gamecocks have allowed 10 sacks through their first three games, including two more on Saturday. If they keep up that pace (3.3 sacks allowed per game) it would be just the third time since the 2003 season they've averaged over three sacks allowed per game. They averaged 3.1 in 2008 and 3.4 in 2016.

6. The Gamecocks had 13 drives Saturday, scoring on seven of them. They'd average 5.1 plays and 37 yards per drive. In the first half, they averaged 7.8 plays and 37.8 yards compared to 3.4 plays and 36.5 yards in the second half. In the second have South Carolina scored on its first five drives. Their scoring drives (seven of them) averaged 6.4 plays and 58.3 yards.

7. The nine tackles for loss against the Commodores were the most since 2018 against Ole Miss and just the fourth time under Muschamp the Gamecocks have hit that number of tackles for loss.

8. The defense held Vanderbilt to just 76 rushing yards, tied for the lowest rushing yards allowed against a SEC team since Muschamp took over. The only other team to rush for 76 yards or less was Alabama in 2019.

9. Despite it only being a 10-game season, Kevin Harris is one pace for 1,086 yards on 186 carries and 13 touchdowns. If he keeps up his pace he'd finish fourth all-time in touchdowns and have the seventh-most yards by a running back in a single season. Shi Smith is on pace for 86 catches, 903 yards and six touchdowns. If that keeps up, he'll finish second in school history for receptions in a season and 10th for receiving yards.
