1. The Gamecocks lost their fifth-straight SEC game for the first time since losing six straight from 2007-08. The last time they had a five-game SEC losing streak in the middle of a season was in 1999 when the Gamecocks went winless, including going 0-8 in the SEC.
2. Nick Muse caught eight passes for 131 yards Saturday. His yardage was the most by a tight end at South Carolina since at least 2000 when Sports Reference's database started. The last tight end to get within 20 yards of that number was Jared Cook, who caught for 111 yards in 2008.
3. Luke Doty completed 18 for his 22 passes for 190 yards Saturday, a completion percentage of 81.8. He becomes just the sixth quarterback (minimum of 20 attempts) since 2000 to complete over 81 percent of his passes in a game. Connor Shaw did it three times and both Jake Bentley and Stephen Garcia did it twice. He becomes just the third quarterback to complete 80 percent of his passes and throw for 150 yards in a conference game. Shaw and Garcia both did it with Shaw doing it twice.
4. The Gamecock defense has given up it's second-most yards through nine games since 2000, allowing 4,023 yards this season. The only other year with more is 2014 when the defense gave up 4,145 in the first nine games of the season.
5. Georgia rushed for 332 yards Saturday, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. It's just the sixth time since 2000 the Gamecocks have allowed an opponent to rush for at least seven yards per carry. The last time was in 2015 against LSU.
6. South Carolina had 10 drives Saturday, averaging 6.7 plays per drive and 27.8 yards per drive. Three were three and outs, three drives went for negative yardage and three were scoring drives. On scoring drives the Gamecocks averaged 10 plays and 73.3 yards per scoring drive and averaged 1.6 points per drive.
7. The Gamecocks allowed four sacks Saturday against Georgia, the fourth time this season they've allowed four sacks in a game. Through nine games they've allowed 27 sacks, the 11th-most nationally and the most allowed in the SEC this season.
8. Jammie Robinson picked up 10 more tackles against Georgia, pushing his total this season to 70, and also picked up an interception. Last season he registered 69 tackles ands a pick. The last Gamecock defensive back to have at least 65 tackles and a pick in back to back seasons was DJ Swearinger in 2011 and 2012. Swearinger had 80 tackles and three picks in 2011 and 72 tackles and a pick in 2012.
9. Kevin Harris rushed 17 more times for 53 yards and a touchdown against Georgia. His touchdown moves him to a tie with George Rogers for third-most rushing touchdowns in a single season at 14. He's on pace for 182 carries, 1,072 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. It would be good for the ninth-most rushing yards in a single season at South Carolina and the second-most rushing touchdowns.
