Tanner's desk. When Tanner says enough is enough, than something will get done. Just like when he knows how to take a pitcher out and when not to. Eventually Tanner is going to have come to the realization that it's his job to evaluate and reevaluate coaching positions. That its on him to leave a coach in or pull him. Holbrook is struggling but he just has to fix a few things. Figure out the BP. Figure out how to get Destino back on track. I think we ARE figuring out somethings about our pitching staff. Murray looked great. I really like Parke. He reminds me a bit of Montgomery. Preston Johnson has looked good. Fiioiri has an era of 1.0 in 18 innings of work. Maybe Destino pitches more and then if does well he'll get more confidence hitting.. there are a lot sorting out we can still do. We have a lot of nice pieces.

Yeah, well that is typical Carolina baseball. What is not typical is not shutting the door when we have late leads.

Agree with your point too. Long gone are the days of John Taylor setting up Matt Price to seal the game. Our shaky bullpen is concerning no doubt.

They aren't long gone. We just need to give new arms a chance to step up, Just like Tyler Webb did when Taylor and Price left. And like Mincy and Seddon did last year. We've been trying to make Widener our closer but the guy just can't throw a strike when he needs to. There was no excuse for walking that defensive sub with a 174 batting average that has speed at the top of the inning. We walked him on 5 pitches and he obviously wasn't even thinking about taking that bat off of his shoulder. We need to try some other guys. Murray looks like a keeper. We need to find more.

Nobody locked down games like Taylor and Price. Webb was solid no doubt. Seddon was good. Widener is not the answer.

It's just one of the problems this team has, and yes, it lands squarely on Holbrook.
