The Final Three On The Board

With Fenton, Arnette, and Key left on the board, I feel the only one that we will land will be Fenton.

Key has played us/game the whole process. L$U and Coach O built a relationship with him in two weeks stronger than what Ward did in over three years. I don't know if that shows how strong of a recruiter he/L$U is, or how weak of a closing Whammy did. Our DE class is solid enough. That position is the least of our worries right now. Wish we could add him, but life will go on.

Arnette is the one that gets me. I understand that the National Champions came onto you in the past few weeks... But, if you can't see you were their backup plan, then you are just naive. They didn't want you. They lost Carlton Davis, and now they are settling for you. I hope that Damon can see this before Wednesday. I feel he could come in and contribute in some form this year.


Any thoughts or comments to add to this?

I hear what you are saying about Arnette and agree with you but as an 18 yr old and visiting the National Champs and Urban Liar coming at you hard will probably override any bitter feelings about being a backup plan. Still hope he decides to sign with us but sounds like Urban Liar got to him.

I really like Fenton. Look at his offer list. Not bad for a '5.5 3-star'. A lot of people must know he's got solid 'D-1' potential.

OSU didn't have to say anything. They didn't have to pitch him. That alone was enough to outbid us.



I really wanted Arnette to land here but it's wrong to hate on OSU. They saw the talent we saw. It's a compliment.

Now, if we can address some deficiencies in the coaching staff (mainly defense), we can get to the point where we can do the same...
