The Grope Thread

The nature of degenerative behavior is that it degenerates over time into a greater degree of degenerative behavior. Perhaps the next step in Tater sports is celebratory biting of another player's p_ n _s. I kid you not. Some European football (soccer) players have done this after scoring a goal. Whether this behavior will be adopted by the Tater football team or the soccer team has not yet been determined.

Well said Sir, well said!! So well said that after what I've just sated, all I can say now is Damn!! Just, DAMN!!!

I'm not a cat, so please, no one try to kill me 'cause of my curiosity!

In considering the folliwing...

fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct charged against Michigan football player

And then this one:

arrested after the game had ended when one of the girls yelled out “That dude right there was grabbing our butts!”

In consideration of those above two articles should Bowelwhere and Christian(sp?) be charged similarly for what they were BOTH FILMED doing?? If not, is there then such a thing as a "friendly, non-criminal, yet still sexual grope" concept?? If so, please explain.

In closing, again merely curious; clemon fans, with all due respect, please give your honest opinions.

In closing, this from BAMA LT Cam Robinson:

Alabama LT Cam Robinson on Clemson players being touchy-feely: "They better not try me like that. That's all I got to say."

7:54 PM - 4 Jan 2017 ·Tuscaloosa, AL

Again, just asking. What say you tigger fans??!!

You're right about only one point. You're entitled to your opinion. Problem is, you're on a Gamecock board calling a Gamecock player a liar. My opinion, I believe BAW. I don't believe your head coach, your players, your admin, nor you.
fair enough

To be honest, i think it comes to intent. I dont think the intent of clemson players in the game had anything to do with any type of sexual gratification, where as grabbing a girls ass at a party or watever is intentended to be a taunt.

Because like I said things like this in frats has been called hazing for generations, maybe that is an incorrect there, but that was what it was called. In my mind it could be sending a message I own you and nothing you can do about it as an intimidation thing. I thought I clearly said I wasn't a lawyer and didn't know how it was looked at.

The intent is humiliation and an effect of dominance through touching someone in their sexual organs. That is what makes it sexual not whether the player is getting his jollies off on it. You do not have to be trying to have sex with someone to commit sexual assault.

The hazing for generations has been mostly culled and schools have recently been VERY strict with punishments because of the mental and emotional abuse it gives to the victims.

I think you are dissecting ants because you will find fault in everything Clemson says or does.

The "chokehold"
Jackson was trying to gain more yards; BB was trying to stop him. During the pace of the game, the defense will grab what ever they can to prevent more yards. Sometimes, you grab the facemask, the collar or even around the neck. Most of the time you don't realize it because everything happens so fast. Now, I do think BB realized he had him around the neck when the play was over and held on after the whistle or got a quick squeeze and LJ didn't like it. Probably could have been a personal foul if the referee saw it. But it is no different than the pushing and shoving or trash talking that goes on. For example, when a player is trying to make a tackle and inadvertently grabs the facemask and turns the helmet around. Typically it is not grabbed on purpose, but they typically don't let go because it happens so fast. Or when a defense players gets pissed off because he is blocked until the whistle when the play is on the other side of the field.

The "racial slurs"
BAW specifically said it was a white OL. But he didn't know his name, number or what he looked like, yet CU only has 3 while OL. It's unfortunate if it happened, but I don't buy this story for one sec. Do you really think black players on CU's team would be OK with a white teammate using that word even if directed to the opponent? I think the story was made up in the heat of the moment from the loss or that it was the black players using the word. The fact that the story dies out after a day or two speaks volumes.

The "nut grab"
There is no excuse for this. Unfortunately, eye poking, spitting in the face, nut grabbing, punching etc goes on in the bottom of piles. I guess it is done to get a mental advantage. Doesn't make it right, but it happens. Wilkins landed his hand on the opponents ass and in a split second thought he could sneak a nut squeeze and it look inadvertent. Instead he did it out in the open and got busted. Kids do stupid things and this was stupid. If you think other teams (including SC) don't do this too, you're dead wrong. But to say it constitutes a culture being fostered by the coaches is not accurate. It's the culture of football, but maybe it's an issue that needs to be addressed, especially in the day of more and more sexual assault.

Landed? Please. Just stop. It was an intentional grope of the male genitalia by another man. As was Boulware's two documented crotch gropes. Can't be defended. Don't try.

It appears as if you are quite a justice warrior. I'm not sure why you weren't so vocal about ensuring that Chris lammons served jail time after he threw those viscious punches against the helpless Tennessee receiver. That was extremely dangerous and was at least assault and battery with intent to kill, but in some states would be tried as attempted murder. I'm assuming you would've wanted lammons punished, if you were approaching these cases as an unbiased observer, without an agenda, right?

You wish merely to be sure justice is served for a horrible taint grab hate crime, I'm sure. Keep fighting the good fight, everyone's listening. This is exactly what you need to make Clemson crumble. You just need to scream it from the skyscrapers in Columbia. Big time media like Wis 10 or the state are bound to pick up on the story and clamor for the whole team to have to register as sex offenders.

No balls are safe!
you clemson fans just dont get it....if you want this to go away, quit keepn threads like this going.....someone is going to pick up on this and then its gonna gain some more traction....may be too late

Twenty, thirty years from now we will probably be reading about Boulware just like Sandusky at Penn st.

Even Harvey Updyke condemned the behavior on twitter. He had 2 tweets yesterday. One about Dabo replacing Saban and one about Dabo's team.

If they win Monday Night, this will evaporate. If not, it will still evaporate. It's just a matter of time. In the latter event, it will take a little more time.

I just figured surely the coach of Clemson Christian University would condemn sexual assault on the field. Reckon I was wrong.

its only assault if they didnt want it. We played Ohio state a couple of times before. I think they welcomed clemsons advances. bunch of sissys

Maybe it's time our program has that scrappy attitude. Maybe we would be in a better position and attract people to our program. Not just recruits, but donors too.

I'm not sure it's sexual assault
But it's pretty weird.
If they pulled that shit on me I'd get up and beat the crap out of them

The tigers are a great football team, that is beginning to become very arrogant and are not good at handling success. It's ok with them bc their head coach is a straight up douchebag. But their time will come.

Then they will just be a average football team, that enjoys grabbing guys balls and fingering their buttholes

God they are clowns

"Sexual assault is a sexual act in which a person is coerced or physically forced to engage against their will, or non-consensual sexual touching of a person."

It sure does seem to fit the definition.

If it's really no big deal, someone needs to ask Dabo and the Clemson players if it's okay for people to fondle the Clemson wives and girlfriends in public.

"that's not what we do"

it isn't that we don't see anything wrong about handling somebody's package. It's that we can't believe you guys are still talking about this a week later. Just let it go. You've turned a couple seconds of bad judgement on Wilkins' part into some week long Zapruder dissection of the moment. Wilkins apologized. Boulware said he shouldn't have done it. Samuels didn't know anything had happened. Everything else is just people clutching at pearls while exiting onto the fainting couches.

Couple of seconds of bad judgement? I thought (play with your butt boulware) said they had been doing it all year.

I've never had any interest in posting on this board until recently. It's not like I'm hiding the fact that I'm a Clemson fan.

You joined in 2009... so, I understand why you had no interest in posting that year, or in 2010, or in 2011, or in 2012, or in 2013 - but why stay silent until your players start caressing opponents' scrotums and fingering their rectums? Is that the signal you've been waiting for?

oh ffs. you are truly obsessed about this. no. nor do people get charged in football games with assault and battery for vicious tackles or for targeting. nor do porn stars get charged for sexually assaulting each other, even in rape fetish videos. if you step onto a football field, or inside a wrestling ring, you agree that you are setting aside your normal privileges against assault and battery.

So the "reasonable man" standard at Clemson is: If you play football against Clemson you are giving tacit permission to have your genitals squeezed by Clemson players. Does the Clemson Athletic Department get their opponents to sign a waiver to that effect or is it just common knowledge?

Arkansas player got ejected for spiting on a VT Player. Presumably a Ref could call an unsportsman if he thought h saw groping and look at the replay If upheld he could eject the player.
IMO had this been us (not being paranoid - just truthful) or some other team they chose to make a big deal, this would've been a MUCH bigger deal than they've done with this OPENLY "groping", disgusting situation. To me it's totally repulsive and the Boulware kid made it much worse (Dabo didn't help with his "apology & it's over" comment). I think they, very obviously - local news included - didn't want a distraction on Clemson's team at this time and chose to, basically, explain is as something they ALL do or it's over now that's he's apologized. A much stronger example could've been set - especially with Dabo being the highly admired person he's become with his present status - had he simply said, "We're embarrassed - this definitely does not define who & what we are - our standards are much higher - it's been taken care of off the field and, believe me, this won't happen again"! Also, he should make sure Boulware doesn't speak to the media again OR put a muzzle on him! I'd expect no less from our coaches if this were us in this national spotlight! JMHOI

Like it or not, all kinds of things like this go on in a pile of humanity during football games. I will almost guarantee that our gamecocks have done similar things in those piles. I can, however, honestly say that it was a first to be seen in the open like that. That behavior, no matter how prevalent, is not okay and should not be made out to be so. This incident probably would have gone away if Boulware doesn't speak. Now all kinds of videos are popping up with him doing inappropriate things. This still doesn't stop Boulware from talking. I'm surprised Dabo hasn't muzzled Boulware

I do have some very good friends that are Clemson folk and good people. I have been surprised by how they think it is okay. Not that I am insinuating they are sex offenders like some on here have, but it also shouldn't be laughed of as part of the game (unfortunately it is, but shouldn't be).

All Dabo cares about - as great and wonderful as everyone claims he is - is having no distractions at this time. This was a really nasty thing (I don't, for a minute, think everybody "does these things" as Boulware wants to claim - he's certainly no bar for how to behave), and that comment from Dabo (who seemed ticked off/ insulted he was even asked about it) that "he's apologized and it's over" was totally atrocious to be in the respected position he's achieved where he has an opportunity to set an example for young people to follow!

Not surprising. Dabo sets a similar example when it comes to domestic abuse. Is willing to talk about how bad it is, but when it comes to one of his players doing the abusing.....well....you get a "he's sorry."

Its their culture, passed down through the years. There has always been a lack of class associated with their players. Wonder what other methods of getting into head of other teams they deploy. The racial slurs don't seem quite so far fetched now.

George Rogers once said that the Clemson players were dirty. Said they punched, pinched, and fell on his legs every opportunity they could. They may brag that he never scored on them, but yet he still ran all up and down the field on them.

I try to be reasonable and peaceful on the boards I post on. Now to Bowlware, if I saw him walking down the street wearing the capri pants I would bet he was gay, when I was about 20 I would have told him I thought he was, and to the Clemson fans no he wouldn't put a hurtin on me and then for him to defend the action like he has and the tater, I can use tater as a Dawg fan can't, they just look like is one of idiots
I think he one of the Aryan nation who is really gay He is a scary individual
