Sports was supposed to be the one place free of politics. Now instead of competing on the field the competition is proving how woke you are.I used to enjoy the Olympics. Watched only a few minutes this time, and quite frankly, can't wait until it is over. Seems as if every time I flip through the channels they have some ridiculous sport on that one wonders how it got approved to be played anyway. And I know that it is a minority showing their tails, but all of the woke action that most seem afraid to confront really turned me off. I never thought the day would come when I would find joy in the USA losing at the Olympics. But I found myself being very entertained at the demise of the US women's soccer team.
The fan restriction came from McMaster not USC.Well, I've enjoyed watching mens and women's golf, track and field, wrestling, swimming. Its weird watching events with no spectators. Makes me wonder if they will restrict fans from college football this fall.
Just like at USCWomen took care of business
I have watched the track and field and swimming each day. I have not seen political statements made from what I have watched. Now I know it has been done because I see certain ones in the news. However, for the most part, I have seen these athletes super excited to get to the American flag and drape themselves in it. I hope that continues.I used to enjoy the Olympics.
